Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Botanical Glow Shop (“we,” “us”) collects when you visit botanicalglowshop.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum: you can read everything on this site without creating an account or giving us any personal information.

Information we collect

Information you choose to give us

  • Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and website (optional) you enter, the comment itself, and your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. Your email address is never shown publicly.
  • Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the site running.
  • Affiliate link clicks. We use a link management tool so we can count how many times our affiliate links are clicked. It may record basic information about the click, such as the time, the link clicked, and browser type.
  • Cookies. See the Cookies section below.

How we use information

  • To display and moderate comments and prevent spam.
  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To understand which articles and links are useful, so we can improve the site.
  • To keep the site secure and working properly.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except as described in this policy or when required by law.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. This site uses:

  • Comment cookies. If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in a cookie so you don’t have to re-enter them. These last for one year.
  • Essential cookies used by WordPress and our hosting provider for security and site performance.
  • Third-party cookies from affiliate partners, described below.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will still work, though comment details won’t be remembered.

Affiliate links and third parties

Botanical Glow Shop is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We may also participate in other affiliate programs.

When you click an affiliate link and visit a retailer’s site, third parties, including Amazon and other affiliate partners, may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons and similar technologies, to collect information and attribute purchases to our site. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more on how we earn money.

Embedded content

Articles may include embedded content (for example videos or images) from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with that content.

Gravatar

If you comment, an anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you have a profile picture. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.

How long we keep information

  • Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically.
  • Emails are kept as long as needed to respond and for our records.
  • Server logs are kept for a limited period by our hosting provider.

Your choices and rights

  • You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you, including your comments. Email us at the address below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
  • You can block cookies in your browser.
  • Do Not Track: some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for how websites should respond, and this site does not currently respond to these signals.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes, for example if we add analytics, a newsletter, or advertising. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page.
